Painless Controls delivered a complete radar tank level measurement solution for a large oil sands storage facility. The scope included installation of Rosemount 5900S radar gauges, configuration of the Tankmaster inventory management system, and commissioning of the tri-loop signal architecture to the plant DCS. All instruments were calibrated and verified to API MPMS Chapter 3 standards.

This brownfield DCS migration project involved the complete replacement of a Honeywell TDC-3000 distributed control system with a modern Emerson DeltaV platform. Painless Controls provided instrumentation commissioning support, partial stroke testing (PST) of safety-critical valves, and interlock logic verification. The project was executed during a planned turnaround with zero unplanned downtime.

Painless Controls performed the commissioning and return-to-service of multiple ProTech 903 H2S analyzers at a sour gas processing plant in Alberta. Work included tape inspection, sensor calibration, sample system verification, and integration with the plant safety shutdown system. All analyzers were returned to service within the scheduled maintenance window.

The project encompassed installation of over 200 field instruments including Rosemount pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, along with all associated impulse tubing, conduit, and instrument enclosures.
